1. COUNSELLING:
It has recently become a norm that Ghanaians, who feel they are denied justice in the courts tend to send their complaints to the media who do not have the competence to provide the needed services. CCE therefore, offers the avenue with the right professional personnel (Lawyers, Counsellors and ADR Practitioners) to provide the right assistance to such aggrieved persons.
Usually technical advice as to what to do and where to do it to get justice is all that the rural and urban need and CCE has taken upon itself to assist.
2. LEGAL- AID
The CCE has lawyers who are readily available to offer services at a reduced fee or on pro-bono basis to the marginalized and the vulnerable. Legal services that require payment of huge fees will be subsidized through a special arrangement with our lawyers in order that many more less privileged citizens will have justice.
3. ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
The CCE provides a pool of certified mediators to offer mediation, negotiation and conciliation for its target group. This is to ensure that civil disputes are resolved in a speedy manner for economic growth of the citizenry.
4. PUBLIC EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAMMES
A core value of CCE is to improve the right to information of the rural and urban poor. The CCE intensively engages the public and the media by conducting rights awareness campaigns.
5. TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING
CCE is involved in the creation of locally based and locally owned mediation Centres on demand through religious bodies, local communities and other bodies. Training and capacity building is offered for individuals who will volunteer to serve as mediators.
